Day two: RAIN and SEED TRAYS

We’ve had a range of mist, drizzle, outright downpours and lots of sun since arriving, but today started with a hefty hefty storm. The deluge began at 7:30a while we were eating breakfast and basically did not stop until 11-12. A couple giant cracks from close lightening and all farm tasks were postponed or cancelled.

In the afternoon I got my first specialized training (an area that I’ll mostly do alone from here on out) in seed trays. I planted 8 trays of 12 types of plants, totaling 908 individual tray pods. These are kept in the nursery, where I’ll water them morning + evening, and lastly thin them out before they are transferred to the ground.

Aarons task were moved to tomorrow due to the rain so he spent the day researching more things to do with unused farm plants and island offerings (there’s a tea farm just down the road!), made fried ginger and black bean avocado dip.
