Sunday Apr 18 We rolled out of Lindsay’s place early Sunday morning – questing for some healthy breakfast to counteract the previous night of beer, meat, meat, and more meat.  Luckily Koloa and Poipu towns had loads of food options. We headed to ‘Anakē’s Juice Bar and picked out a LOADED açaí bowl with blueberry, coconut water, banana, mango, pineapple, lilikoi puree, spirulina, granola, seeds, local honey, and bee pollen. $11 and it was so big it took us a full hour to finish it between us both! We took our bowl to Poipu Beach and found a shady spot on the soft grass to read while the beachgoers enjoyed the water and sunshine all around us. In classic Kaua’i fashion, a mother hen and her baby chicks pecked around our blanket serenading us with cheeps and chirps.
